Adirondack North Country Community Enhancement Program (ANCCEP)

ANCCEP enables municipalities and not-for-profit corporations in: (a) Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Warren, and Washington Counties and; (b) within the Adirondack Park in the Counties of Saratoga, Herkimer, St. Lawrence, Oneida, Lewis, and Fulton to improve the appearance of these areas and to pursue rural community development/enhancement projects. Eligible Activities include:

1. Municipal Abandoned Vehicle and Appliance Removal Initiative - Programs designed to remove junk and abandoned vehicles and appliances, including but not limited to cars, trucks, farm equipment and home appliances from municipal-owned lots, local streets and private property.

2.  Rural Community Revitalization Initiative - Programs for renovation and rehabilitation of commercial or mixed use buildings or demolition of abandoned or substandard buildings or structures; preservation of historic structures; tourism development projects; municipal park improvements; main street restoration including facade improvement; sidewalk construction; parking enhancements; street lighting; beautification projects including the planting of trees and shrubs and appropriate signs; and other relevant activities which result in a tangible enhancement that is of benefit to a majority of the community.

Funding Category:

Funding to improve the appearance of municipalities and to pursue rural community development/enhancement projects in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Warren, and Washington Counties and the Adirondack Park in Saratoga, Herkimer, St. Lawrence, Oneida, Lewis, and Fulton counties.

Target Population:

Residents of municipalities in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Warren, and Washington Counties and the Adirondack Park in Saratoga, Herkimer, St. Lawrence, Oneida, Lewis, and Fulton counties.

Funding Available:

Total funds available: $1 million. Up to $25,000 per award.
