Residences for Survivors of Violence Program (RSVP)

Administered by the Bureau of Housing Services and the NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, the Residences for Survivors of Violence Program was created to deal with the demand for emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence in New York City.  Funds the development of transitional housing through an annual Request for Proposals. The program is administered in accordance with HHAP procedures.

Funding Available: $13.75 million was appropriated in 1998; reappropriated until project completion. No new allocations to date.
